Who I am beyond design
I’m a first-generation Mexican-American UX/UI designer driven by empathy to create inclusive, impactful experiences for all.
I’m an empathetic person who values connection and celebrating diverse voices. I find joy in new experiences, which fuels my passion for creating inclusive, meaningful designs.
My inspirations and interests
I love spending time with family and friends, whether it’s going out for karaoke and drinks relaxing at the park to take in nature, or just sitting down listening to my family gossip. I’m trying to reignite my passion for art and reading—I have a whole bookshelf waiting for me! Exploring new foods with my boyfriend is always the highlight of my days because we both love food. I love going to concerts, and ever since my first concert in 2018, it's been down for my wallet because I've lost count of how many I’ve attended.
In my downtime, I enjoy playing Animal Crossing, where I can be the “mayor” of my town, making my villagers feel at home. I also watch comfort movies and shows, like Hunter x Hunter and JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure, often to the point where my boyfriend wonders if I ever get bored (I don’t!). Above all, empathy and understanding others are what truly matter to me, shaping my approach to design and life.
Looking ahead
Looking ahead, I aim to hone my skills and land a leadership role in the UX field, where I can become a mentor and pillar for women entering tech and design. I’m passionate about fostering inclusivity and supporting others on their journeys.
Additionally, I want to improve my public speaking skills. After attending many inspiring panels, I’m eager to share my story on stage and encourage others in their journeys to find their voice in the industry (which is spooky because I am an introvert).
